Ethical Responsibilities
Economía & Negocios magazine understands the importance and responsibility of publishing scientific research articles. The papers received go through a process in which authors, editors and reviewers are involved, who submit to the ethical criteria of the journal.
Economía & Negocios magazine ensures that the information contained in the articles is accurate and reliable, as well as the rights of those involved, good behavior and good procedures are preserved. For this, the Economía & Negocios journal is guided by the standards and codes of ethics of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) [http://publicationethics.org/] and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICJME) [http://www.icmje.org/], as well as the statement of the Principles of Transparency and Good Practice in Scholarly Publishing. As well as the Peruvian norms related to scientific research, such as legal norms on copyright, open access and others related to the topics of our journal.
ETHICAL PRINCIPLES OF THE ECONOMY & BUSINESS MAGAZINE
a) Authorship: As a general rule, all authors must participate in at least two of the four phases of the project: planning, data collection, interpretation of the results and preparation of the manuscript. All authors of a scientific article must contribute significantly to the development of the research.
b) Authorship disputes: if the Editorial Committee suspects or receives reports of authorship problems, it will contact the corresponding author to request more information.
c) Conflict of Interest: Editors, authors, and reviewers must disclose any conflict of interest that might affect their ability to present or review a manuscript objectively. Conflicts of interest include financial, personal, political or religious interests.
d) Retraction of a manuscript: retractions are performed when the reported errors may affect the interpretation of the data, as well as when the information presented in the paper is fraudulent or falsified, the data is fictitious, or when the study cannot be reproduced. or in cases of serious ethical misconduct.
e) Withdrawal of a manuscript: the removal, deletion or concealment of an article is only allowed when there is a case involving legal infractions, defamation, or other limitations of a legal nature, as well as when there are false or inaccurate data. In such cases, a withdrawal statement will be issued. Another particular case of withdrawal occurs when proven ethical misconduct has been committed, but the article has still been published. In this case, only the authors are notified of the withdrawal of their manuscript from the review processes.
PLAGIARISM
The Economía y Negocios magazine (ISSN-L 2708-6062) considers plagiarism as publication fraud, and it is defined as the appropriation of the ideas, processes, results or words of another person without giving the corresponding credit. Fraud and misconduct are also understood as fabrication (invention of data or results), and falsification (manipulation of research materials, equipment, processes to alter data or results, as well as the change or omission of data or results ).
The Economía y Negocios Journal does not tolerate plagiarism, fraud, or misconduct, which is why it establishes mechanisms to avoid and remedy it: (a) during the editorial process, the publication of plagiarism, fraud, and misconduct is avoided using the opinion of peers and proofreading of texts using the online Turnitin anti-plagiarism tool. (b) After its publication, if cases of plagiarism, fraud or misconduct are detected or alerted and confirmed, it will proceed according to the guidelines and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE - http://publicationethics.org/), being able to execute the retraction of the article.
