Efectividad de las intervenciones de mente-cuerpo en pacientes oncológicos al final de la vida: ¿qué dice la literatura?

Resumen
Objetivo: Describir los efectos de las intervenciones basadas en mente-cuerpo en el manejo de los pacientes con enfermedad oncológica en fase terminal de acuerdo con la literatura. Métodos: Se realizó un estudio cualitativo de tipo bibliográfico, que incluyó ensayos clínicos controlados aleatorizados y revisiones sistemáticas; la búsqueda fue realizada en las bases de datos PubMed, WOS, Cochrane y Scopus. Se usó el algoritmo de búsqueda (((((cancer) OR (malignant tumor)) OR (carcinoma)) OR (neoplasms)) OR (advanced cancer)) AND (mind.body therapies) obteniendo 2347. Resultados: Se evidenció que la intervención de mente-cuerpo más usada fue la psicoterapia, que es aquella terapia donde se realiza un diálogo entre el paciente y el profesional, esta fue empleada en 5 estudios y en todos mostró resultados positivos en: ansiedad, depresión, bienestar espiritual, esperanza, malestar psicológico, calidad de vida, gravedad de los síntomas y fatiga. Conclusión: La intervención de mente-cuerpo más empleada fue la psicoterapia y mostró resultados positivos en diferentes variables, entre ellas: ansiedad, depresión, bienestar espiritual, esperanza, malestar psicológico, calidad de vida, gravedad de los síntomas y fatiga.
